Riding Through The Fields At Estancia El Venado

Guests at Estancia El Venado can be as active or laid back as they like. One popular activity here is horseback riding around the Estancia. Guests ride Argentine "Criollo" farm horses and use typical Gaucho (Argentine Cowboy) equipment. A ride through the fields to the River in time to catch the sunset on the way home is a very beautiful and memorable experience.

Exploring the Gardens with it's myriad of wild birds is also a favorite of El Venado guests. There are hundreds of birds living in the Gardens surrounding the Hacienda, and most of the trees they live in are over 100 years old.

One experience not to be missed is a local Rodeo, called a Doma. About once a month, a local town puts on a Doma with bronc riding, barrel racing, and folk singing. When the Domas are in town we bring our guests along with us to experience the Gaucho culture. These Domas are very popular with locals, and there are no other tourists present. (The next Doma is scheduled for Feb. 22)

Afternoon Asado at Estancia El Venadomost important, a traditional Argentine Asado (cook-out).

For an additional fee we also offer Polo and Horsemanship lessons (taught by professional polo players and instructors), Tango lessons (taught by one of the highest ranking Tango Dancers in the Province of Buenos Aires), and childcare.
